Placement within the salary range will be based on experience, technical knowledge, certifications, manufacturing systems experience, and overall qualifications.
Position Summary
TOYO Solar Texas LLC is seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Technician I / II to provide technical support for employees across our solar module manufacturing facility. This position assists the IT Engineer in maintaining computer systems, Microsoft 365, user accounts, hardware, software, network devices, and manufacturing technology used throughout the organization.
The IT Technician supports employees in Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, and Administration while ensuring technology systems remain reliable and operational in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide first and second-level technical support to employees.
- Troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows operating system and Microsoft Office issues.
- Support Microsoft Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 applications.
- Respond to employee IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Engineer as appropriate.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Create Microsoft 365 user accounts.
- Configure Outlook email accounts.
- Set up Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID user accounts.
- Configure laptops and desktop computers for new employees.
- Assign software licenses and user permissions.
- Configure printers, shared folders, and network access.
- Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Prepare all IT equipment before employee start dates.
- Disable user accounts and recover company equipment during employee separations.
Hardware & Asset Management
- Install and replace computers, monitors, keyboards, docking stations, and peripherals.
- Maintain inventory of company IT equipment.
- Track equipment assigned to employees.
- Coordinate warranty repairs and equipment replacements.
- Maintain an organized IT storage room.
- Order and maintain inventory of IT supplies and accessories.
Manufacturing Support
- Support computers and workstations located throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Troubleshoot barcode scanners, handheld devices, and industrial label printers.
- Assist employees with ERP and MES access issues.
- Support production workstations and operator terminals.
- Respond promptly to production technology issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist the IT Engineer with manufacturing technology support.
Network & Systems Support
- Assist with maintaining wired and wireless network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot basic network issues.
- Install Windows updates and software patches.
- Support Microsoft 365 administration.
- Assist with file sharing permissions.
- Help maintain endpoint security software.
- Assist with routine server and network maintenance under the direction of the IT Engineer.
General IT Operations
- Support conference room technology and audiovisual equipment.
- Assist with office phone systems and Microsoft Teams.
- Coordinate with hardware and software vendors.
- Maintain IT documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with office moves and workstation installations.
- Support company-issued mobile phones and tablets.
- Participate in IT improvement projects.
Information Security
- Follow company cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Assist with antivirus and endpoint protection.
- Perform password resets and account recovery.
- Report suspicious cybersecurity activity.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information and technology systems.
Other Duties
- Assist the IT Engineer with daily IT operations.
- Cross-train on manufacturing software and business applications.
- Perform preventative maintenance on company computer equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
IT Technician I
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 0–2 years of IT support experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues.
IT Technician II
In addition to the qualifications above:
- 2–5+ years of professional IT support experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot more advanced hardware, software, and network issues with minimal supervision.
- Experience supporting ERP or MES users is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience.
- Microsoft 365 Administration experience.
- Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID experience.
- Experience supporting barcode scanners and industrial printers.
- Basic knowledge of networking equipment.
- Familiarity with ERP and MES systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent.

- Walk throughout office and manufacturing areas.
- Install equipment beneath desks and workstations.
- Wear required PPE while working in production areas.
- Occasionally work outside normal business hours to support manufacturing operations.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
