About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Job Developer/Employment Specialist to support individuals in achieving their employment goals. The Job Developer/Employment Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing career coaching, job placement assistance, and ongoing employment support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 50 or higher.
- Assist clients with resume writing, cover letters, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Educate clients on workplace rights, ADA accommodations, disability benefits, and available community resources.
- Develop relationships with local employers and identify employment opportunities for clients.
- Conduct job development, placement, and retention services to support long-term employment success.
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, community partners, and service providers to coordinate client services.
- Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities to promote employment opportunities.
- Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed support while advocating for client needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Social Work, Behavioral Health, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
- Peer or Recovery Support Specialist Certification may be substituted for formal education.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in workforce development, case management, vocational rehabilitation, behavioral health, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of employment services, disability accommodations, ADA regulations, Vocational Rehabilitation services, and workforce development practices.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems.

Regulatory & Credentialing Requirements
- Must be able to obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card within 90 days of hire.
- Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Must maintain compliance with all required agency training, credentialing, and continuing education requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable federal, state, and agency regulations.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
