About the role

As a Lead/Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects from concept

to completion, championing engineering excellence and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities:

Technical Excellence

  • Lead projects from planning to completion, ensuring client satisfaction and efficient delivery.
  • Sign off on calculations, drawings and reports.
  • Manage and monitor workloads across juniors, ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Provide technical oversight and resolve complex engineering challenges.
  • Represent the company in key meetings and maintain strong external relationships.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and support team cohesion.
  • Conduct peer reviews of project deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development of internal standards and procedures.
  • Ensure all work complies with HSEQ and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge and actively engage in professional development.

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

  • Comply with all HSEQ policies and procedures, actively participating in training and maintaining essential documentation.
  • Contribute to a safe and quality-focused workplace by identifying and reporting risks and supporting corrective actions.
  • Engage in emergency preparedness activities, ensuring readiness and a proactive approach to safety and incident response.

Innovation

  • Contribute ideas to enhance our systems, tools, and ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and automate routine tasks.
  • Embrace technology to improve collaboration, information sharing, and quality control.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience in structural

  • engineering, with demonstrated expertise in

  • complex commercial and industrial projects.

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Charted Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or working towards it

  • Member of Engineers Australia
