Lead Systems Engineer VCS

We are currently seeking a Lead Systems Engineer VCS to join a dynamic engineering team contributing to the delivery of mission-critical communication and information systems. This is a pivotal leadership role working on support and sustainment projects within air traffic management and public safety sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design, testing, deployment, and commissioning of VCS solutions.
• Review system architecture and integration designs.
• Review and approve technical solutions, maintenance plans, and engineering changes.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex system incidents affecting operational ATM environments.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Support Engineers and Service Delivery personnel.
• Act as the primary technical contact for key customer stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across support processes and system reliability.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years' experience in Frequentis systems engineering, telecommunications, or mission-critical operational support environments.
• Solid understanding of Frequentis products.
• Experience supporting highly available, 24/7 operational systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in IP networking, Linux and Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, telecommunications systems, Voice over IP (VoIP), SIP protocols, network diagnostics, and system integration.
• Experience conducting root cause investigations and problem management activities.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
