Position:
About the Role
ASL Airlines (Australia) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Watch Engineer within our Airworthiness department. This position is required to manage both technical and airworthiness aspects our fleets to optimise OTP.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Monitor the line maintenance technical status of aircraft in the ASL Airlines Australia Fleet.
- Liaise with Flight Operations on the application of a Minimum Equipment List (MEL)/Configuration Deviation List (CDL).
- Keep the Operations Area / management informed of status of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and delays as a result of Engineering disruptions.
- Communicate actions required to carry out rectifications of defects reported on aircraft in-service(Flight ).
- Coordinate aircraft recovery from locations without Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) support.
- Prepare the application of Permissible Unserviceability (PUS) after hours, or as requested by the CAM.
- Monitor the rectification of defects on delayed or potentially delayed flights and ensure that estimated return to service time is realistic.
- Monitor the Fleets defects and investigate repeat defect alerts and action as required.
- Liaise with (CAMO) Planning, the respective (AMO) and Material/Logistics to schedule (or reschedule) defect rectification as necessary Control disruptions to the planned maintenance outside respective business hours.
- Pro-actively interact with Planning to make recommendations for escalations/de-escalations of Approved Maintenance Program (AMP) tasks and create company tasks.
- Monitor and react to Trend monitoring of the fleets performance and exceedances.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience as Senior LAME with minimum 5 years in a Line/Base environment.
- Previous Maintenance Watch experience an advantage.
- Hold a CASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence rated on Bae146 or 737NG aircraft (or similar in the B1/B2 category).
- Strategic thinker with proven problem-solving skills within high pressure environments.
- Excellent verbal and communicating skills.
- Ability to communicate on all levels of the business.
- Proficiency or use with AMOS or Oases platforms.
- Comprehensive understanding of current Part 42 requirements.
- Ability to work without supervision and with a high-performance team.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety ,quality and process compliance.
