We serve many large pharmaceutical organisations with a strong focus across the entire pharmaceutical value chain – from drug discovery, clinical development, manufacturing and supply chain, through productization and commercial execution spanning both digitalisation and related transformations.
Our strong team in Denmark is growing, and we are hiring Managing Consultants to continue building our strong presence in the sector.
The ideal candidates will have a strong background in Life Sciences consulting, ideally in one or more areas of the value chain in clinical development and business transformation.
For this role we are seeking a Managing Consultant in Clinical Trials Transformation within the Life Sciences sector, you will be responsible for creating, and delivering strategic initiatives aimed at improving clinical trials by optimizing processes, improving efficiency and experience, and accelerating timelines
This role requires a proven track record in Clinical Development and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the pharma sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement and Business Development:
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives in the pharmaceutical industry, understanding their needs and providing tailored consulting solutions that drive business value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and generating opportunities for new client engagements.
- Lead the creation of client discussion materials, proposals and bid responses in pursuit of opportunities in this domain, providing tailored solutions to meet client clinical trial transformation goals.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and other events to promote clinical trials transformation services.
Thought Leadership:
- Act as a thought leader in the Clinical Development space and represent PA Consulting as a trusted advisor.
Strategic Leadership and Transformation:
- Develop and implement strategies to transform clinical trial operations and adjacent functional domains, focusing on innovation, efficiency, and scalability.
- Lead initiatives to streamline clinical trial processes, reduce timelines, and improve data quality.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement.
Innovation and Technology Adoption:
- Promote the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, including applications of as artificial intelligence and advanced analytics, , to enhance clinical trial processes.
- Identify and implement digital solutions to improve patient recruitment, data collection, and trial monitoring.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the clinical trials team.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee the execution of clinical trials transformation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement best practices and standardized procedures to ensure high-quality and compliant clinical trial operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of transformation initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
Maintain and apply an awareness of clinical development regulatory requirements, including GCP, FDA, and EMA guidelines to client clinical trial transformation initiatives.
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
A Master's degree is ideal.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in management consulting, with a specific focus on the Life Sciences industry, is required.
Alternatively, candidates with a combined advisory career and internal managerial experience at a large client or pharmaceutical company will be considered.
Demonstrated ability to deliver successful projects in critical areas such as strategy development, process improvement, and technology implementation is essential.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, along with the capacity to distil complex concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are imperative, as is the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.
Verifiable sales experience and a strong network in the pharmaceutical and life science sector is a prerequisite for this role.
Fluency in both Danish and English essential; proficiency in additional languages will be viewed favourably.
