Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will drive manufacturing excellence by designing, analyzing, and optimizing production processes and equipment. Your expertise will help streamline operations, improve product quality, and ensure safety standards are met across our manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and refine manufacturing processes utilizing CAD software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, and Catia to create detailed schematics and mechanical designs.
  • Lead project scheduling efforts to ensure timely completion of engineering projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and maintenance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on production issues to identify underlying problems and implement effective corrective actions using tools like Six Sigma and process engineering methodologies.
  • Program and troubleshoot industrial automation systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and fabrication setups for plastics injection molding, CNC machining, welding, and assembly lines to optimize throughput and product quality.
  • Analyze engineering data related to process performance and quality metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement programs such as ISO 9001 compliance initiatives, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and continuous improvement projects within manufacturing operations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and CAM programming for designing mechanical components and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as, CNC machining, Welding, Fabrication, tooling design, and assembly line operations.
  • Experience with industrial automation systems including robot programming, PLCs, vision inspection systems, and industrial equipment troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in project management techniques with a focus on project scheduling, cross-functional collaboration, and factory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with lean management practices, Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement, quality control standards like ISO 9001, and engineering troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform engineering data analysis for process optimization; skilled in schematics interpretation and GD&T standards.
  • Mechanical knowledge encompassing assembly line processes, tooling design, fabrication techniques, CNC programming (including CAM), and industrial automation solutions.
