Mobile Fleet Engineer – Refrigeration, Tyres & LOLER

Location: Leicester (Nationwide Travel Required)

As our fleet continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Mobile Fleet Engineer to join our engineering team.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same.

You'll be responsible for maintaining our fleet of refrigerated vehicles, ensuring maximum uptime while delivering first-class support to our customers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on refrigerated light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults.
• Service and maintain refrigeration units (GAH, Carrier, Thermo King or equivalent experience desirable).
• Carry out LOLER inspections, servicing and repairs on tail lifts and lifting equipment in accordance with current legislation.
• Provide mobile tyre inspections, puncture repairs and tyre replacements.
• Complete safety inspections, MOT preparation and compliance checks.
• Attend roadside breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.
• Complete detailed service reports and maintenance records.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards.
• Work closely with the Operations and Fleet teams to maximise vehicle availability.
• Deliver outstanding customer service whilst representing the Cool Motion UK brand.

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Desirable Skills

• Refrigeration engineering experience (Carrier, Thermo King or similar).
• LOLER inspection and tail lift servicing experience.
• Tyre fitting experience.
• F-Gas Certification.
• Electrical diagnostic experience.
• HGV licence (advantage but not essential).
