About the role
Package Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Main Civil Works Section.
What will you do?
- Acting as the day-to-day engineering interface with the appointed Tier 1 subcontractor.
- Providing technical guidance, making effective engineering decisions and supporting supplier performance.
- Leading coordination between Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and Construction teams.
- Reviewing manufacturing drawings, technical documentation and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Managing RFIs, FCRs and NCRs while maintaining configuration control and governance requirements.
- Supporting design optimisation for manufacturability and installation sequencing.
- Driving supplier performance and ensuring manufacturing activities meet nuclear quality standards, including welding, NDT, material traceability and dimensional control requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating risks across the manufacturing lifecycle while championing safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the wider team
What are we looking for?
- A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience managing the off-site fabrication of complex secondary steelwork packages.
- Experience managing suppliers and manufacturing performance within large, regulated infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of nuclear or highly regulated project quality requirements.
- The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications and interface data.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness, procurement knowledge and experience delivering successful project outcomes.
