Part-Time Graphic Design & Letterpress Production Assistant
2 days per week | Thursday & Friday required (in-studio)

We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on craft designer to join our small letterpress studio 2 days per week. This role blends traditional letterpress production with modern graphic design, light digital work, project setup, and studio support.

If you love the tactile side of letterpress, have a strong design eye, and want to work in a focused, low-volume creative shop with real growth potential, this could be a great fit. As the business grows, hours and responsibility can increase for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up projects and materials for digital and letterpress production runs
• Create and refine graphic design layouts for print projects
• Handle small digital jobs, basic web/Shopify updates, digital assets, and simple photography
• Assist with project design, client coordination/follow-up, and production workflows
• Manage production setup, scheduling, and shop organization
• Support light retail ordering and store displays
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and efficient
• Maintain high-quality craft standards on every project

Must work Thursday and Friday in the studio.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years professional experience in graphic design, letterpress, craft design, or closely related field
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Basic Shopify / web design knowledge (HTML/CSS or similar) is a plus
• Experience with production setup, scheduling, and project management
• Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working independently in a small shop
• Genuine passion for hands-on craft and traditional printing
• Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods
