About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced analyst to join our central Caring Services Commercial and Performance Insight Team. You will work with a diverse range of stakeholders and datasets, helping shape how data and evidence are used across Caring Services.

Marie Curie is investing in the future of its analytics capability through the development of a new Data Hub, modern reporting platforms and enhanced self-service analytics. This role offers the opportunity to help shape how analysis, Power BI reporting and insight are delivered across the organisation, supporting both operational decision-making and long-term strategic improvement.

  • Analyse operational, commercial and commissioner data to identify risks, opportunities and improvements, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insight for operational and senior leaders.
  • Support improvements in data quality, consistency and reporting standards, including the development of new KPIs, analytical approaches and performance measures.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into meaningful analytical insight that informs decision-making.
  • Support the transition to Marie Curie’s new Data Hub and modern analytics environment, helping strengthen trusted, self-service reporting and insight capability.
  • Contribute to automation, innovation and the ongoing development of our data and insight capability, keeping up to date with emerging technologies and analytical best practice.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams, IT and other key stakeholders to support a strong data-driven culture.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You’ll bring strong attention to detail, a genuine passion for data, and a mindset focused on learning and continuous development. You’re confident working independently but thrive when collaborating with others to make things better.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Significant experience in data analysis, reporting and insight, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, risks, opportunities and root causes.
  • Advanced Power BI skills, including dashboard development, data modelling, DAX, visual storytelling and knowledge of governance/self-service reporting, alongside strong Excel capability.
  • Experience using SQL or other query languages to interrogate and analyse data, ideally within a Data Hub, centralised analytics model or semantic model environment.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate data into clear, meaningful insight for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive, improvement-focused approach, with pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and supporting better decision-making.
  • Experience in healthcare, commissioning or complex operational environments is beneficial, but not essential.
