About the role

Senior Product Manager, Financial Education Platform

Employment Type: Contract

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Client: Confidential Fortune 500 Financial Technology Company

Company Overview

Our client is a Fortune 500 financial technology company dedicated to helping individuals, small businesses, and communities achieve financial success. Through a portfolio of industry-leading financial products and services, the company serves millions of customers worldwide and is committed to driving innovation, customer-centric design, and meaningful social impact.

About the Team

The Financial Education team builds a free financial education platform for students and educators. The platform provides real-world money lessons and hands-on tools that help people develop lifelong financial skills, including budgeting, credit, taxes, and entrepreneurship. This is a small, fast-moving team within the company's social impact organization that owns the end-to-end experience, including curriculum and product.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own a core part of the financial education platform from end to end. You will start with the customer, define what success looks like, and deliver products that help students and educators build financial confidence.

This is a builder role. You will not just write specifications and hand them off. You will prototype your own ideas with AI tools, get them in front of users early, and partner closely with design and engineering to bring them to life. If emerging technology excites you and you enjoy moving quickly from concept to execution, you'll thrive in this role.

What you'll do

Own the experience end to end

  • Own your product area from problem definition through launch and iteration, holding a high bar for quality and ease of use.
  • Define the success metrics, analytics, and instrumentation that show whether the experience is working, then use what you learn to make it better.

Start with the customer

  • Talk to students, educators, and partners directly. Turn what you hear into a clear view of the problems worth solving.
  • Use research, behavioral signals, and AI tools to get past surface complaints to the real need.

Build

  • Prototype your ideas. Use AI tools to turn a concept into a clickable demo people can react to, instead of waiting weeks for a spec to become a mockup.
  • Partner with engineering, curriculum, and design on technical trade-offs, and bring a point of view on the "how," not only the "what."

Decide with speed and judgment

  • Drive product decisions across the team using data, customer input, and business needs, weighing short- and long-term impact on the product, the customer, and the platform.
  • Build AI into how you prioritize so the team moves faster.

Wear many hats

  • Step outside your role when the work needs it. On a small team, the person closest to the problem solves it.

Collaborate and communicate

  • Partner across curriculum, design, engineering, program, and marketing. Anticipate dependencies and keep the right people in the loop.
  • Influence through data-backed storytelling and working prototypes.

What you'll bring
  • 4+ years in product management, with a track record of shipping customer-facing products from idea to launch.
  • Hands-on comfort with AI and prototyping tools. You can build a rough prototype yourself with tools like Figma, Claude, or similar, and you reach for new technology rather than avoid it.
  • Deep customer focus. You get close to users and turn what you learn into product decisions.
  • Fluency with data. You define the analytics that matter and use them to guide the roadmap.
  • Strong communication and collaboration. You influence through clear storytelling and prototypes people can try.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to wear many hats on a small team.
  • Experience in education or another mission-driven product is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
