Specialty Resources is a global sourcing and inventory management company for precision components & specialty products. Our domestic and offshore partnered factories allow us to source and supply our customers with quality products at competitive prices. SRI can supply; precision machined components, stampings, bearings, castings & forgings, cold headed & powdered metal parts, electrical components, rubber & plastics, seals, gaskets, springs, sheet metal fabrication and fasteners.

This role oversees and coordinates the management of assigned contracts/customer purchase orders. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and tracking of all aspects of the customer needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Serve as primary customer service contact with assigned customer

· Works directly with the assigned customer to obtain and document current product specifications, volume requirements and delivery needs

· Prepare necessary documentation (i.e., quote forms, sales order forms, new product documentation, purchase order, etc.)

· Maintain communication with customer and Global Sourcing Department with new product and/or revision changes

· Processing/scheduling/expediting customer orders to maintain proper inventory levels

· Monitor inventory, shipments, customer purchase history to manage purchases and shipments accordingly

· Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet client satisfaction goals and objectives

· Keep Senior Management and the customer current on any problems or issues

· Maintain knowledge of overall inventory for assigned customers

· Generate inventory reports to evaluate and investigate slow moving items and coordinate with Senior staff, sales, suppliers, and customer on the appropriate action

· Consistently evaluate fast moving items to ensure availability of product per customer demand

· Assist Quality department on product/supplier issues as required

Required Skills and Competencies

· Must be customer service oriented and have the ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain effective relationships with peers, customers, suppliers, etc.

· Strong interpersonal skills are essential to effectively interact with all levels of business team members affecting the product process

· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, plan and deliver assignments on time

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

· Proven ability to ensure the success of our customers, vendors and staff

· Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills are required

Required Education and Background

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field

· Minimum 2 years prior experience preferably in wholesale/distribution
