Job Description

As a Production Planner within our Supply Chain team, you are responsible for the complete medium- and long-term capacity and production planning. You ensure that all orders taken into production are optimally scheduled, perfectly aligning lead times, delivery dates, and priorities with the contract agreements made with our customers.

You will work closely with Production Management, Procurement, and Sales. You are the spider in the web who looks ahead to detect potential bottlenecks in material supply or capacity early on and proactively resolve them. In the case of rush orders, you assess the possibilities, accelerate processes where necessary, and closely monitor progress in the ERP system.

Part of your job takes place at the heart of the operation. You can regularly be found in the production department to keep a feel for reality, discuss progress, and make immediate adjustments where necessary. With your data-driven approach and sharp eye for logistical parameters (such as safety stocks and batch sizes), you ensure a continuously improved and stable production process.

Your responsibilities also include:

• Setting up, monitoring, and optimizing the entire planning process in the ERP system for production orders;

• Planning and managing long-term capacity and material supply to optimally prepare the direction of production and purchasing plans;

• Assessing, integrating, and monitoring rush orders, including initiating changes or accelerations in the production process;

• Analyzing weekly schedules and advising (production) management on solutions for (un)foreseen bottlenecks;

• Influencing and establishing logistical parameters (such as production/order batches, lead times, and safety stocks) to guarantee delivery reliability;

• Regularly being present on the shop floor to closely align the planning with operations.
  

Requirements

We are looking for a proactive Production Planner who is not satisfied with 'sufficient', but always strives for continuous improvement:

• Bachelor’s (HBO) working and thinking level in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field;

• Experience in a similar role within a technical production environment is an advantage, but we also warmly invite driven starters with a relevant logistics or supply chain study background to apply;

• Experience with or a strong affinity for ERP systems (experience with Infor LN is a big plus);

• Good Excel skills and a structured, data-driven way of working;

• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written;

• Stress-resistant, customer-oriented, and communicative enough to act as a full conversation partner for management and fellow departments;

• Willingness to actively step onto the shop floor to thoroughly understand the production processes.
