AAK LOCATION
This position is based on site in Hull, United Kingdom.



At AAK Hull, we operate the UK’s largest refinery for edible oils and fats at our King George Dock site and supply ingredients and finished products to businesses in the food manufacturing, baking, foodservice, and retail sectors. We enjoy working closely with customers to co-develop bespoke products in our well-equipped Customer Innovation Centre.



About the role
As a Production Operator within AAK’s Bottling team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products safely, efficiently and to customer requirements. Reporting to the Production Shift Manager, you will be responsible for operating bottling equipment, maintaining production standards, and ensuring products are manufactured to the right quality, at the right time, and in the right quantity.



Working as part of a two-shift operation (7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm), you will contribute to the delivery of the production plan while maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene and operational performance. Through effective teamwork and a continuous improvement mindset, you will help drive efficiency and support AAK’s commitment to manufacturing excellence.



Responsibilities
  • Operate bottling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Set up production lines and maintain throughput to achieve production targets
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene
  • Follow safe working practices and participate in risk assessments for your area of responsibility
  • Support maintenance activities and production changeovers in line with site procedures
  • Identify line losses and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the daily production plan
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete relevant documentation
  • Promote a safe working environment by complying with all health, safety and food hygiene standards



About you
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Production Operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality products safely and efficiently.

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing role
  • Food manufacturing experience is desirable
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent team player with a positive and flexible approach
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work effectively within a two-shift operation
