We’re on the lookout for a Program Manager (Air Systems) who is responsible for leading complex aerospace programs and ensuring their successful execution from planning through delivery. In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, engage with customers, partners, suppliers, and funding bodies, and drive effective collaboration across all stakeholders to achieve program objectives while supporting the delivery of high-quality aerospace systems and components.
What You ‘ll Be Doing:
- Ensure contract management, monitoring & compliance (Grant Agreement, Consortium Agreements, subcontractors, NDAs).
- Establish an overall program governance while ensuring consistency across projects, covering the full delivery lifecycle -from kickoff to closeout- ensuring documentation and process/contract compliance.
- Define project(s) scope, milestones/gates and success criteria based on the stakeholder(s) needs/requirements.
- Develop, maintain and implement the Program Management Plan.
- Define, maintain & communicate the schedule & plans for aerospace programs.
- Coordinate program milestones with cross-functional teams.
- Track key program KPIs, allowing to monitor and coordinate schedule, costs, resources & drive operational improvement when required (e.g. to ensure timely achievement of project gates).
- Manage entrance and exit process to major technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, FRR, SVR, etc.).
- Deliver key program deliverables, such as Program overview, risk log, knowledge transfer plan, compliance statements, acceptability checklists, etc.
- Maintain a comprehensive risk register and drive mitigation actions.
- Manage alignment of change control procedures across partners and suppliers.
- Approve the program's acquisition plan and ensure alignment with contractual and cost/quality requirements, in coordination with the Financial & Quality Departments.
- Approve the Manufacturing, Production & Disposal Plan and ensure alignment with contractual and cost/quality requirements in coordination with the Financial & Quality Departments.
- Identify and follow the security needs for the program execution.
- Identify and ensure availability of required export/import licenses.
- Identify and ensure availability of infrastructure required for the program execution.
- Define agendas, prepare materials, coordinate speakers, present programmatic content, coordinate development of meeting minutes, follow-up on action points.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager concerning project-related inputs for program planning, monitoring & execution alignment.
- Provide input/collaborate with PMO secretariat (event coordination, program planning, communications).
- Identify training requirements for the PMO.
Additional Responsibilities related to EDF Project Coordination:
- Submit deliverables to suppliers/funding authorities/MoDs, ensuring delivery alignment with contractual commitments, Statement of Work and cost/quality targets.
- Coordinate progress and financial reporting between the EDF Consortium and the EC.
- Provide progress reporting to the EC and the MoDs.
- Manage payments to partners and subcontractors in compliance with contractual and organizational requirements, in coordination with the Financial Department.
- Approve effort reporting forms (timesheets).
- Coordinate dissemination activities, e.g. through participation in events (exhibitions, conferences, etc.), reviews, workshops, press, etc.
- Ensure Consortium wide innovation management and exploitation planning.

Qualifications & Experience
- Strong engineering or technical background.
- Proven (7Y+) experience in leading complex strategic programs or cutting-edge technology initiatives.
- Proven (7Y+) experience in coordinating big consortia.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership capability.
- Experience in technical program or project management.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Experience in coordinating between technical and non-technical team members effectively.
- Solid experience with project management tools (Jira, etc.).
- Proficient user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint.
- General digital literacy.
- Attention to detail, highly proactive and execution focused individual.
- Excellent communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Ability to work in fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Problem-solving mindset, with strong ability to identify bottlenecks and adapt workflows.
- Soft skills; Emotional intelligence, conflict management, respectful communication, appreciation-focused leadership, patience, collaboration.
