We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Design to join our Design and Delivery team and help shape the future of our rural water network.

We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Design to join our Design and Delivery team and help shape the future of our rural water network.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
Manage the delivery of engineering design packages for the Rural Water Efficiency Project.
Coordinate external engineering consultants and technical specialists.
Support hydraulic modelling and engineering design activities.
Prepare project briefs, technical specifications, tender documentation and project plans.
Manage project budgets, schedules and contractor performance.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, legislation and organisational requirements.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, government agencies and customers.
Monitor project performance and provide regular reporting on progress, risks and outcomes.
About you:
You'll be a collaborative engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and working with diverse stakeholders.
You'll also bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or a related Engineering discipline.
Experience delivering engineering design projects, ideally within water, utilities or civil infrastructure.
Strong project management and contractor management experience.
Knowledge of hydraulic design and water infrastructure principles will be highly regarded.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
A current Victorian Driver Licence (or the ability to obtain one).
Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia or the Australian Institute of Project Management will be highly regarded.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 3 $74,200 - $90,097 plus superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
