About the role:
- Support planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical construction activities
- Translate project specs, permits, and drawings into work packs and execution plans
- Monitor site progress, identify and resolve technical issues
- Liaise with engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and report on milestones and variations
- Assist with technical documentation, risk assessments, and change management
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to project meetings
- Implement and manage quality assurance processes
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years' experience in mechanical project engineering within mining, industrial, SMP or construction environments
- Experience delivering mechanical installation, maintenance or shutdown projects
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and construction documentation
- Strong site-based experience and understanding of safety, quality and construction compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, planning and coordination skills
- Confident working independently in remote locations on rostered projects
- Familiarity with MS Project and Excel
- Familiarity with ITP’s, FIC’s, ITR’s and other quality assurance documentation
- Must be able to pass regular drug & alcohol testing and site medical requirements
- Must be a team player and communicate effectively with tradesmen with different backgrounds and skillsets
