About the role

Position Summary

The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, coordinating between customers, sales representatives, manufacturers, vendors, and internal departments. This individual will manage project timelines, procurement, material deliveries, documentation, and issue resolution while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously from award through closeout.
  • Coordinate with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure project success.
  • Review project specifications, contracts, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track material procurement, lead times, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate project updates and resolve issues with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and change orders.
  • Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure orders are accurate and comply with project specifications.
  • Assist with inventory planning for project-specific materials.
  • Identify risks and proactively develop solutions to minimize project delays.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Some project management experience, preferably within electrical distribution, construction, industrial supply, or a related industry.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of electrical construction projects and material takeoffs.
  • Experience working with contractors, engineers, and manufacturers.
  • Ability to interpret project specifications and blueprints.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and customer service.
