Essential Job Functions
- Monitor the quality of documentation of supportive service activities in the EHR.
- Collaborate extensively with the Supportive Services trainer to provide high quality leadership and training to the supportive services staff.
- Conduct regular reviews/audits of supportive services staff documentation. Run reports, analyze activities, audit documentation, plan quality improvement projects and retrain/reeducate as often as needed to improve performance.
- Report regularly on audit results and compliance measures to leadership; work with leadership to identify risks and liabilities.
- Manage adherence to supportive services policies and procedures; ensure compliance with best practice guidelines.
- Engage in regular communication and training of managers/directors to discuss audit findings, review reports, provide support, and identify areas of focus for supervision/ongoing learning.
- Participate as an EHR Superuser to assist with training efforts, advise on system changes and EHR upgrades, and test new tools, processes, and other initiatives.
- Cosign/review charting of direct services by supportive services staff in training phase and during periods of quality improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all clinical/non-clinical services, communications, and tasks in the EHR and other systems as required while maintaining complete up-to-date charts using the system and any future upgrades as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Summary
- Minimum two years of experience in a professional environment performing technical analysis, data management and communication including collaborative work with other professionals (developers, managers, quality assurance, etc.).
- Minimum two years of experience with one of the following: case management, peer specialist, client navigation, and/or other supportive services and the documentation of such services.
- Experience with development and training preferred.
- Experience in the behavioral health industry helpful.
- Understanding of issues related to homelessness including common physical and behavioral health conditions, evidence-based interventions, complexities within provided services, and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with respective stakeholders.
- Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and apply sound judgement in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to maintain superb customer service skills including effective interpersonal/assertive communication skills demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence.
