About the role

Are you the go-to for making processes behave?

If coaching structured problem-solving, shaping PFMEAs, and turning capability data into action sounds like your zone, read on. Based in Ripon, WI and reporting to the Quality Leader, you’ll bridge design and manufacturing while partnering with Supplier Quality Engineers, Product Engineering, and Purchasing to confirm the capability of both existing and new suppliers. This is a 2nd shift role, Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:00am.

Imagine your first month

You map where design intent meets process reality and align Control Plans to critical characteristics.You assess machine and process capability, pinpointing Cpk gaps and creating improvement roadmaps.You stand up crisp KPI board routines so everyone knows who is doing what, by when.You mentor teams on structured problem-solving so issues are fixed once—and stay fixed.

What you'll tackle

  • Coordinate design/process compatibility for current products and processes.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers, Product Engineering, and Purchasing to determine supplier capability for current and potential sources.
  • Own Control Plans and PFMEAs to maintain control and proactively mitigate risk.
  • Lead capability studies to uncover opportunities for present and future requirements.
  • Track and close supplier quality/productivity problems with verified corrective actions.
  • Define and procure inspection and test equipment for assigned production areas.
  • Supervise quality process control and audit personnel; set clear expectations and support development.
  • Maintain complete test and audit documentation aligned to engineering specifications.
  • Support new design introductions so processes meet engineering specifications at launch.
  • Promote an “Everyone Owns Quality” culture by empowering employees to solve problems at the source.

Education

  • AS degree in Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing discipline required
  • BS degree in Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing discipline desired

Experience & skills

  • 2–4 years in quality assurance/control preferred
  • Comfort with quality methodologies: capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, control charts, and advanced Six Sigma concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Background in a project team environment is beneficial

Physical requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods; periods of standing; manual dexterity; stooping; bending; minimal lifting
