Job Description

Role: SAP ERP OTC Solution Architect

Reports to: SAP Product Manager

Location: Remote

Rate: $81-$93/hour W2. dependent on qualifications

The SAP S/4HANA OTC Solution Architect provides technical and functional leadership for Order to Cash (OTC) processes, designing integrated SAP solutions that align business objectives with SAP S/4HANA capabilities. The role leads solution design, drives business process transformation, and leverages SAP Joule and AI-powered innovations to improve productivity, automation, and decision-making. Acting as a trusted advisor across business and IT teams, the architect guides projects from strategy and architecture through implementation and support, ensuring scalable, efficient, and business-focused SAP solutions.

SAP Solution Delivery (40%)

Define Strategic SAP Vision and Roadmaps

• Partner with OTC business stakeholders to define and execute product roadmaps that optimize customer order management, pricing, fulfillment, billing, and receivables processes while ensuring alignment with the SAP S/4HANA architecture, SAP Fiori strategy, and SAP Joule roadmap.
• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to Product and Capability Teams, fostering collaboration across business and IT functions to deliver intuitive SAP Fiori experiences, AI-driven process improvements, and scalable OTC solutions that drive business value.
• Maintain deep expertise in the OTC domain, including order management, customer service, pricing, promotions, contracts, billing, credit, collections, and revenue realization. Leverage SAP Joule and emerging SAP innovations to identify opportunities for automation, productivity gains, enhanced analytics, and new digital business capabilities.
• Drive business transformation by leading process engineering, solution assessments, and SAP S/4HANA solution design activities, utilizing SAP Fiori and SAP Joule to simplify user interactions, improve decision-making, and accelerate issue resolution across the OTC value stream.
• Demonstrate broad end-to-end business process knowledge and a deep understanding of the integration points between OTC and adjacent functions including Finance, Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, and Procurement, ensuring seamless execution and a unified user experience through SAP Fiori applications and AI-assisted workflows.

Design, Configuration, and Implementation

• Design and deliver end-to-end SAP S/4HANA OTC solutions that align business requirements with SAP best practices, SAP Fiori experiences, and SAP Joule capabilities.
• Define scalable, integrated architectures that streamline order management, fulfillment, billing, collections, and customer service processes.
• Lead solution design and required extensions while adhering to SAP Clean Core, Fiori standards, and OTC best practices.
• Design OTC data models, workflows, and intelligent automation using SAP Joule to improve productivity and business outcomes.
• Advise Product and Capability Teams on SAP S/4HANA, Fiori adoption, OTC process optimization, and AI-enabled innovation.
• Develop and lead implementation roadmaps, ensuring successful delivery of Fiori-enabled and Joule-powered OTC solutions.

Technical Expertise

• Lead the architecture and technical strategy for SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (OTC) solutions, driving business transformation through SAP Fiori and SAP Joule.
• Develop deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA capabilities, with a focus on OTC processes including order management, pricing, promotions, contracts, fulfillment, billing, collections, and customer service.
• Design and configure SAP solutions that deliver intuitive Fiori user experiences and leverage Joule-driven insights, automation, and productivity enhancements.
• Define and govern integration architectures across OTC processes, connecting SAP and non-SAP applications to enable seamless end-to-end business operations.
• Apply broad functional knowledge across Sales & Distribution (SD), Finance (FI/CO), Materials Management (MM), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Warehouse Management to optimize OTC outcomes.
• Champion SAP Fiori, Joule, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and modern SAP development practices to improve user adoption, operational efficiency, and business value

Business Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement (20%)

• Stay current on SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and Joule capabilities, serving as a trusted advisor for OTC strategy, user experience, and business process innovation.
• Partner with OTC stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions that leverage standard functionality, Fiori applications, and Joule-enabled insights.
• Optimize Order-to-Cash processes by applying SAP best practices to improve order management, fulfillment, billing, collections, and customer experience.
• Identify and implement process improvements that simplify workflows, enhance Fiori user adoption, and increase productivity through Joule-driven automation.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and Joule capabilities, delivering business value and supporting strategic OTC transformation objectives.
• Provide solution support and coaching to team members ensuring adherence to defined service level agreements for all incidents.

Communication & Collaboration (20%)

• Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and team management experience with both onsite and offshore resources.
• Capability to engage with all organizational levels, from the SAP team to senior-level leaders in Finance, Order Management, Pricing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Procurement.

Performance Management & Leadership (20%)

• Offer comprehensive SAP functional and technical leadership to Product and Capability Teams managing business and technical operations within SAP.
• Oversee SAP talent development initiatives within Product and Capability Teams responsible for SAP functionalities.
• Contribute to SAP Project/Product Management by providing staffing plan recommendations for product team activities within the SAP environment.

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Accounting (preferred)
• SAP HANA certifications (preferred)
• Expertise in SAP Fiori
• Extensive experience designing and implementing complex solutions
• 10-15 years of professional experience in technical consultation, system integration, or application architecture
