As a Senior Analyst Developer, you'll join a team responsible for one of Ausgrid's most critical enterprise platforms, our Work Management System. This system supports the planning, scheduling, and delivery of work across our network, helping keep electricity flowing to more than 1.7 million homes and businesses.
This role offers something unique: the opportunity to work across both development and operations, giving you true end-to-end exposure to the full application lifecycle. You'll partner with business and technical stakeholders, contribute to strategic improvements, and play a key role in maintaining the reliability of systems that support critical operational services.
This role is based in our Haymarket office where the team are based but we are open to locations if candidates are open to travel, we do offer hybrid working. The position requires participation in a team-based on-call support roster, operating on a 4-6 week rotation schedule.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Analyst Developer, you will work across a diverse range of responsibilities, including development, system enhancement, operational support and continuous improvement.
You will
- Design, develop and support solutions across Dynamics 365 Field Service, Power Platform and associated enterprise applications.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver innovative technical solutions.
- Support the ongoing performance, reliability, and security of critical operational systems.
- Deliver system upgrades, testing, patching, enhancements, and integration activities.
- Investigate and resolve complex incidents and technical issues across multiple systems.
- Contribute to projects that improve business processes, user experience, and operational efficiency.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance on system capabilities and future enhancements.
- Partner with vendors, project teams, and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Participate in a five-week on-call roster supporting critical business applications.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve system performance, usability, and productivity.
- Strong experience with Dynamics 365 Field Service configuration and customisation.
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Plugins.
- Experience working with web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML and REST APIs.
- Experience with Dataverse security models and role-based access controls.
- Development experience using C#/.NET, Java/Spring or similar technologies.
- Experience with software development lifecycle practices, source control and code management (Git preferred).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
- Experience testing and deploying enterprise applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience with Azure services including Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress.
- Knowledge of cloud integration patterns and application security.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Experience working in utilities, infrastructure or other asset-intensive industries.
- Previous experience supporting enterprise work management or field service solutions.
- Experience working across both development and operational support functions.
