About the role
As the Senior Citrix Engineer, you will:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the entire Citrix stack, engineering solutions for Citrix Cloud, ADC (NetScaler), StoreFront, and Workspace Environment Management (WEM).
- Engineer and automate infrastructure management, deployment, and configuration processes using PowerShell to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Lead the integration of security controls and compliance standards (DoD/DISA) into the Citrix architecture, performing vulnerability assessments and implementing hardening configurations on Citrix ADC.
- Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including system architecture diagrams, deployment runbooks, and disaster recovery plans.
- Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance, capacity, and latency of the Citrix infrastructure, performing root cause analysis and engineering long-term solutions for complex issues.
- Lead critical infrastructure projects, including platform upgrades, data center migrations, and cloud service integration, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance.
- Design and implement user profile and data management strategies using ProfileUnity, Profile Management, and User Layering to optimize user experience and logon times.
- Familiarity with Citrix and Liquidware integration.
- Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of experience engineering and administering enterprise-scale Citrix environments. (Additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree).
- IAT II Certification (e.g. Security+, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
- Demonstrated expertise in scripting and automation with PowerShell.
- Deep technical knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy management in a virtualized environment.
- Proven experience with performance tuning and optimization tools for virtualized environments, preferred.
- Prior experience engineering solutions for DISA and its mission partners, preferred.
