ASIC's Data & Analytics Technology team is seeking a talented and accomplished Senior Data Architect to join their high performing team. The successful candidate will lead the design of data architecture solutions for integration, analytics and reporting, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

• Salary from $181,284 to $191,949 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuation

The team

ASIC's Digital, Data & Technology group delivers a broad suite of IT capabilities to support ASIC. We are currently driving major technology initiatives that will accelerate our transformation across key areas including virtualisation, data analytics, mobility, and cloud. The Data & Analytics Technology team underpins these efforts by providing essential services to our primary stakeholder, the Data & Analytics Office.

The role

As a Senior Data Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of ASIC's enterprise data architecture, developing scalable, secure and integrated data solutions that support the organisations strategic transformation objectives. You will establish data models, standards and governance frameworks to enable effective data integration, analytics and decision-making, ensuring data capabilities are aligned with business needs and enterprise strategy.

More specifically, you will:

• Develop business cases and strategic proposals and analyse business and technical requirements for data-centric initiatives and projects.
• Design and deliver solution and data architectures for inbound and outbound data integration, data lakes, business intelligence, reporting and advanced analytics platforms.
• Define and implement data quality frameworks and develop robust solutions for data migration, conversion and integration.
• Lead data architecture and design activities, ensuring alignment with ASIC's enterprise architecture vision, standards, principles and technology blueprints.
• Drive architectural decision-making to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, adaptable and maintainable solutions that meet enterprise standards and best practices.
• Ensure technology solutions effectively meet business requirements while remaining cost-effective, operationally sustainable and resilient in production environments.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role is a highly experienced Senior Data Architect with a strong track record of designing and delivering enterprise-scale data solutions, integration platforms and analytics capabilities. You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, ensuring data architectures are secure, scalable and aligned to business objectives. An effective stakeholder manager, you will collaborate across business and technology teams to deliver innovative, resilient, and value-driven outcomes.

In addition, you will have:

• Demonstrated expertise in solution design, with the ability to develop technology-agnostic enterprise data architectures that support current and future business needs.
• Strong experience in designing and implementing data integration, movement and transformation solutions, including the use of modern data platforms such as Databricks.
• Proven capability in the architecture and delivery of business intelligence, reporting and analytics solutions across a range of technologies and platforms.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or TOGAF are highly desirable.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse business and technical groups.
• Proven ability to work effectively with Enterprise Architecture, Design and Analysis, Service Delivery and Project Delivery teams to achieve successful business outcomes.
