Senior .NET Developer — Secure Health Data Systems (Contract, Remote)

InfoLabs is hiring a senior .NET developer for a full-time W2 contract supporting a large government public health department. Remote (Eastern time hours) with occasional in-person meetings in NYC. We're targeting developers with current or recent state/local government experience — health agency background is a strong plus.

The work:

• Design and build two new secure, web-based database applications from the ground up — modern .NET, SQL Server 2019
• Enhance an existing .NET Framework 4.5 surveillance application: record matching against a central data registry, aligning data across sources, eliminating duplicate entry
• Build flat-file and API-based data exchange with external registry systems, plus reporting (SSRS/Power BI)
• Work directly with the client's data support unit; gather requirements from non-technical program staff

Requirements — please read before applying:

• 9+ years of hands-on .NET/C# and SQL Server development. This is a senior, build-it-yourself role — not a fit for early-career developers or team-dependent profiles
• Proven full-lifecycle delivery: you have personally designed and shipped web applications from scratch and can walk through them in technical detail
• Comfortable in both legacy .NET Framework (4.5/4.7) and current .NET
• Experience with confidential/regulated data (HIPAA or comparable)
• U.S. work authorization; W2 only — no C2C or third-party arrangements
