Senior .NET/AI Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer with AI and strong cloud experience to join our team The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, building, modernizing, and supporting modern applications within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. You will work side-by-side with County staff to modernize legacy .NET applications, implement cutting-edge AI-powered solutions, and facilitate knowledge transfer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Application Modernization & Development: Design, build, and support modern applications in Microsoft Azure. Modernize legacy .NET Framework/Web Forms applications to .NET 8 and cloud-native architectures

AI Integration: Implement AI-powered solutions utilizing Azure AI Foundry, Azure

OpenAI, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and prompt engineering

Utilize GitHub Copilot for Developers to enhance productivity.

Cloud Architecture: Integrate various Azure services including App Services, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, and Azure SQL

Implement microservices, API security, and Microsoft Entra ID/B2C authentication

.

DevOps & CI/CD: Leverage GitHub or Azure DevOps for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and containerization

.

Data & UI: Work with SQL and Cosmos DB databases. Develop user interfaces using modern frameworks such as Blazor, React, or Angular

.

Analysis & Collaboration: Evaluate data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Conduct feasibility studies, solution assessments, and gap analyses

. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, project teams, and senior leadership

.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills

Expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core (.NET 8 preferred), and cloud-native development

.

Strong experience with Azure services, microservices, and API security

.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID/B2C authentication.

Proven experience modernizing legacy .NET applications.

Demonstrable experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, RAG, prompt engineering, and GitHub Copilot

.

Proficiency in GitHub or Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization

.

Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL, Cosmos DB)

.

Experience with modern UI frameworks (Blazor, React, or Angular)

.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

Exceptional analytical skills for data evaluation and trend identification

.

Experience conducting feasibility studies, solution assessments, and gap analyses

.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences
