We are looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer (7-10 years' experience) to join our team of talented engineers/architects supporting a large Federal customer in Washington DC.

The Senior Network Security Engineer will support implementation of best practice solutions for network and security solutions and services. They will manage and implement network solutions using Cisco network products and technologies including but not limited to Cisco ISR 43xx/45xx/ASR 100x/Cisco Cat 9k/Cat 4k; OSPF/BGP, F5 Load Balancers, Spanning Tree, Virtual Switch Stack (VSS), IP Subnetting, IP Routing and Switching, and Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco ISE.

The Engineers will provide Tier 3 support, implement and monitor network and security plans.

Description of Daily Duties:

• Provide support to internal teams and Federal Agency on data networks and an and security solutions.
• Work with internal teams and Federal Agency to manage, troubleshoot and monitor data solutions leveraging Routing Protocols (OSPF/BGP), Switching technologies (Spanning Tree, VSS).
• Configure Palo Alto firewalls Rules; application ID, Thread Prevention, etc.
• Manage and maintain data network and systems using Cisco Product lines.
• Monitor Network performance using Solarwinds and take steps to ensure optimal performance.
• Resolve issues related to Data Networks and escalate to Network Architecture if required,
• Implement and troubleshoot enterprise network -related solutions/incidents/system outages
• Respond to escalated incidents and service requests from Delivery/Operations Teams

What are we looking for?

• Active or ability to get Public Trust Clearance
• Cisco certifications preferred (not required ! ): CCNP, CCIE
• 7-10+ years of experience with data networks with emphasis in Routing Protocols (OSPF/EIGRP), Switching Technologies (Spanning Tree, VSS).
• Experience with Solarwinds Engineers ToolSet, SecureCRT, ServiceNow.
• Hands on Experience with Panorama, Palo Alto Firewalls, Logical parititioning.
• Cisco Platforms and Adjunct Administration, Maintenance, and Installation
• Basic understanding of configuring Firewall Rules.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with project teams and managers as a service provider
• Strong team player and team mentor

Highly Desired

• Experience with Infoblox management; DNS, DHCP, Grid configuration.
• Experience with Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
