Senior Platform & Security Engineer

A partner of Insight Global is looking for a hands-on Senior Platform and Security Engineer to join their team. This person will own Azure infrastructure, security operations, IT administration, and compliance initiatives across the organization. This individual will lead platform reliability, security controls, HIPAA/SOC 2 readiness, and Microsoft cloud administration while partnering directly with engineering and executive leadership.

• 7–10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, or Security Engineering

• Strong Azure administration experience across production environments

• Hands-on experience with:

• Azure Container Apps

• Azure App Services

• Azure Service Bus

• Azure PostgreSQL

• Azure Blob Storage

• Azure Key Vault

• Azure DevOps Pipelines

• Deep expertise with Entra ID (Azure AD):

• Conditional Access

• MFA

• RBAC / Role Assignments

• Identity Governance

• Experience supporting HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II compliance programs

• Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration experience

• Security operations experience utilizing Microsoft Sentinel, Purview, Defender, Log Analytics, and Application Insights

• Experience implementing least-privilege security controls and PHI protection strategies

Compensation:

$120,000-150,000 per year annual salary.
