Job description: GoHypersonic Inc. seeks a self-reliant Software Engineer/Programmer/Leader able to develop total-vehicle software architecture solutions; collaborate with other engineers and programmers to develop, integrate, test, and deploy software at all levels of a weapon systems architecture; and implement software configuration management and control framework to ensure all software products comply with relevant aerospace industry and quality standards. Experience with any of the following is a plus: vehicle management; autopilots; guidance, navigation, and control (GNC); control and stability (CAS), power management and distribution (PMAD); collaborative engagement; unpowered and air-breathing vehicles; rocket, launch, and missile systems; and HW/SW in-the-loop test facilities.

What You'll Do
· Develop architectural constructs and help shape the technical direction of our products.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, scope features, and deliver solutions that meet business and user needs.
· Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following best practices and coding standards.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in production environments.
· Participate in SW Configuration Management and Control board meetings.
· Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement and maintain SW quality and configuration management and control practices.
Required:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
· Experience: Ten or more years’ experience leading or performing software development efforts, preferably from the Aerospace and Defense industry.
· Software Architecting: Able to architect overall vehicle software design, define constituent software modules, along with their specific functions, features, and interfaces.
· Software Programming, Integration, Test, Lead and participate in software development, programming, integration, and test activities.
· Verification and Validation: V&V delivered code meets software requirements, both as a standalone module and as integrated into the overall hardware/software architecture. Ensure software is able to gracefully detect, isolate, and handle faults. Demonstrate the code is able to consistently execute in real-time and is able to properly store, manage, and retrieve data to/from memory.
· Programming Languages: Proficiency with several programming languages including Python and C/C++, MATLAB desired.
· Communications: Excellent communication skills, especially when conveying technical information.
· Technical Writing: Willing to author software requirements, specification and description documents, prepare test plans and reports, write user manuals and training documents, and contribute to proposals.
· Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and collaborate with multiple disciplines.
· Industry and Quality Standards: Familiarity with CMMC, ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100
· Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about technical challenges.
Desired:
· Embedded System: Willingness to assist with development of embedded algorithms and/or code for Power Management and Distribution; Guidance, Navigation, and Control; and Control and Stability subsystems.
· Operating Systems: Experience or familiarity with Linux and other RTOS
· Networking Technology: Experience or familiarity with TCP/IP, CAN, RS232, RS485, RS422, WiFi, Bluetooth.
· SW Quality Assurance: Experience or familiarity with ISO-9001 or AS9100 quality management constructs.
Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
