We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our enterprise data team.

Location: Flexible on location - Hybrid working available with some travel to offices and sites as required
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll lead the delivery of high-impact analysis and reporting that shapes decisions across Kier. You'll play a key role in establishing a central analytics capability, building on existing expertise to create consistent, scalable and governed reporting and self-serve analytics. This is an opportunity to set the standards for how we model, visualise and tell stories with data.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll be working within the Data & Analytics team, supporting them in delivering trusted insight and consistent reporting. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading complex analytical investigations and transforming business questions into structured insight and recommendations
  • Designing and delivering high-impact reporting across significant business domains
  • Building robust, reusable semantic models and datasets that enable trusted self-serve analytics
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to frame the right questions and translate insight into action
  • Setting and promoting standards for report design, modelling, performance and accessibility

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Data Analyst is great for you if:

  • You have a degree or equivalent practical experience in a numerate or analytical discipline, with substantial experience delivering business analysis and BI in a complex organisation
  • You're an expert in Power BI with advanced skills in semantic modelling, DAX, Databricks and performance optimisation
  • You have advanced SQL skills and strong data modelling capabilities for analytical and self-serve use
  • You communicate and influence confidently with senior stakeholders and can lead analytical delivery with autonomy
  • You're passionate about driving consistency, quality and data literacy across an organisation

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.

We're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs. You can see more information of benefits here.

Making Kier a diverse and inclusive place to work is a huge priority for us. We're proud of the steps we've taken so far, but we know we must always do more. Our employees are key in shaping Kier's diversity and inclusion initiatives and our people have made a huge impact on how we work, by using their experiences to shape our policies. You can see our D&I action plan here. As a Disability Confident employer, we will ensure that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants that meet the minimum criteria for this role will be offered an interview.

We look forward to seeing your application to #joinkier.
