Senior UX Writer & Technical Content Specialist

Role description

We are looking for a Senior UX Writer & Technical Content Specialist with a strong background in product marketing to join our team. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between complex engineering functionalities and a smooth user experience. In this role you will be crafting in-app guidance, creating product documentation – technical writing and UX copy writing, producing educational video scripts, and conducting training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• UX Writing & Microcopy: Design user-centered copy for interfaces, onboarding flows, tooltips, error messages, and empty states, ensuring a seamless user journey.
• Technical Documentation: Produce clear, concise, and structured product documentation, user guides, and FAQs that help users navigate complex technical workflows.
• Video Content & Training: Create scripts and storyboards for in-app tutorials, walk-through videos, and marketing demos. Deliver training sessions and webinars for internal teams and external users.
• Product Marketing Integration: Collaborate with product marketing to ensure the product voice is consistent with marketing initiatives. Translate technical jargon into value-driven messaging.
• Collaboration: Work within an agile team alongside product designers, engineers, and product managers to define and document content strategies early in the product design process.
• Quality & Consistency: Maintain and evolve the company’s editorial style guide, ensuring high-quality, grammatical accuracy, and brand alignment across all touchpoints.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in UX writing, technical writing, or content design, preferably in a software tech environment.
• Background: Proven experience in technical writing and product marketing, capable of making, selling, and explaining technical products.
• Multitasking Capabilities: Experience producing varied content types, including UI copy, long-form docs, and multimedia scripts.
• Communication: Exceptional English skills (written and spoken), with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
• Technical Familiarity: Comfortable learning new technical tools and working with developers.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating UX writing samples, technical documentation, and video content examples.
