Position Summary
The Senior VP, Operations (Developer Relations) will build and lead a high-performing team delivering HOA community management services for a major North Texas master-planned development client. This portfolio includes 17 large, master-planned communities with over 35,000 homes and extensive amenities such as pools, parks, and golf courses.
This executive will serve as the primary operational partner to the developer, ensuring service excellence, consistency, and long-term community success while establishing best-in-class standards across community operations, financial performance, and resident experience.
This role requires a strategic, execution-focused leader with deep HOA expertise and a strong ability to operate at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the operating strategy for a large, multi-community portfolio
- Serve as senior liaison to the developer, builders, and HOA leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing community management team
- Establish service standards, KPIs, and scalable operating models
Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee HOA management and amenity operations across all communities
- Ensure consistent, high-quality homeowner experience and service delivery
- Standardize processes for maintenance, vendors, compliance, and inspections
- Lead onboarding and transition of new and evolving communities
Developer Partnership
- Act as the primary operational partner to the developer
- Collaborate on community readiness, expansions, and amenity planning
- Advise on operational and financial impacts of development decisions
- Build strong relationships with boards, residents, and stakeholders
Financial Oversight
- Oversee budgets, reserves, and overall financial performance
- Ensure strong controls, reporting, and fiduciary compliance
- Partner on forecasting, capital planning, and long-term sustainability
Team Leadership
- Recruit and develop a scalable, high-performing operations team
- Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and growth
Qualifications
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in HOA, property management, or large-scale operations
- Proven success leading complex, multi-site portfolios
- Experience building and scaling teams in high-growth environments
- Deep expertise in HOA governance, financials, and community operations
- Strong executive presence with excellent stakeholder management skills
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- CMCA, AMS, or PCAM certifications strongly preferred
