Job title: Software Development Engineer 2

Location: Sunnyvale, CA /Onsite 3 days a week.

Duration: 12-month contract role

Pay range: $45/hr to $50.50/hr

Job description:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support our Training Team by bridging business needs with technical solutions.

This internal-facing role focuses on improving training workflows, managing learning content, and enhancing the learner experience through technology.

Role Overview

The Software Engineer will collaborate with the Training Team and IT to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

This role combines software development, business analysis, testing, and project coordination to deliver effective training technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications for IT

Coordinate with IT teams on application development and implementation

Manage training content across Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Perform functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Coordinate user testing and support successful solution delivery

Support project coordination and identify opportunities to improve business workflows

Required Qualifications

Strong background in software engineering

Proficiency in Python

Intermediate to advanced SQL skills

Experience developing applications and user interfaces

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience administering or configuring Learning Management Systems

Experience working with AI applications, including AI-assisted development with appropriate human review

Experience with data analytics

Experience working in healthcare or another regulated industry

Experience using Jira or a similar project management platform

Experience with LMS platforms such as SuccessFactors or Percipio, or comparable enterprise learning platforms

Familiarity with Appian or workflow automation tools is an advantage

Role Focus

Approximately 40 to 50 percent Software Development and IT Coordination

Approximately 50 to 60 percent Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Project Coordination, and Business Analysis

Portfolio examples demonstrating LMS configuration or implementation experience are welcome.
