Software Engineer III: Signal Processing- SIGINT - San Diego

Position Summary:

The Software Engineer will develop, integrate, optimize, and test advanced signal processing software supporting prototype and production-ready algorithm development. The engineer will work closely with algorithm developers to transition research into deployable capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop signal processing software.

• Implement algorithms in C++, Python, or similar languages.

• Integrate algorithms with sensor processing frameworks.

• Optimize software for performance and scalability.

• Develop automated testing and validation tools.

• Support containerized and cloud-based processing environments where applicable.

• Participate in Agile software development.

• Support laboratory demonstrations and field testing.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years software development experience.

• Experience with:

  • C++

  • Python

  • Git

  • Linux

  • Object-oriented design

• Understanding of digital signal processing concepts.

• Candidate must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI access.

• Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CUDA or GPU programming.

• Embedded software development.

• Docker/Kubernetes.

• Machine Learning frameworks.

• Experience processing large sensor datasets.

• An active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI access, and a CI Polygraph

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $165,000 - $250,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

• Regular communication (hearing/speaking).

• Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.

• Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).

• Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, standing, and walking.

• Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
