About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join Lingraphica’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software that powers speech-generating devices and related applications aimed at assisting individuals with communication difficulties. Working within a collaborative, cross-functional Innovation team, you will partner with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to create high-quality, user-centric solutions. Your contributions will span the entire software development lifecycle—from initial design and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful technology that enhances communication and improves lives, all within a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Proficiency with Unity and C# programming language
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs (preferably with Node.js or similar technologies)
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum development methodologies
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S. up to two times per year for team and company meetings

Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Vercel, familiarity with React Native for mobile app development, knowledge of Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI APIs, as well as experience with Python, PostgreSQL, Firebase, and related technologies. Additional skills in testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, machine learning concepts, Atlassian tools, and database design are also advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software for speech-generating devices and associated applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering to deliver user-centered solutions
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across the technology stack
  • Contribute to automated and manual testing processes to ensure high product quality
  • Support production systems through bug fixes, performance enhancements, and system stability improvements
  • Engage in Agile team ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to foster continuous improvement
  • Enhance internal tools, infrastructure, and engineering processes such as CI/CD pipelines and documentation efforts
