About the Role

Responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and data solutions, the Sr. Business Solutions Analyst at CHPW Systems Operations Support translates stakeholder requirements into technical specifications, engages technical teams, and facilitates the development of optimal system enhancements. Acting as a liaison between business and technical units, this role supports data-driven decisions and next-best action plans. This position also forges partnerships with business and technical teams, prototyping and delivering high-quality data insights and analytics solutions, utilizing project management tools to ensure a smooth product delivery.

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Have minimum 7 years’ experience in healthcare, preferably in the Health Plan business processes and business/systems analysis.
  • Possess the capability to convert business requirements into effective solutions and collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful execution and delivery
  • Have experience in managing IT project life cycles using Project management tools such as Jira, Azure Devops, Monday or similar.
  • Have experience in learning and translating existing business processes and complex workflows to deliver metrics and insights with real-time visibility

Essential functions and Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand their goals and needs and translate them into functional/technical requirements for execution using agile methodologies
  • Act as a solution consultant who deeply understands current state business processes and challenges, translating them into analytical solutions with actionable insights
  • Negotiate scope and timeline with business leads to deliver high-value business outcomes
  • Utilize business process mapping and data modeling to improve the flow of information and provide assets for functional and technical development
  • Coordinate the development, quality testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment of reporting solutions within the required timelines
  • Champion the adoption of AI-enabled analytics, intelligent automation, and emerging BI tools and technologies to enhance business decision-making, accelerate insight generation, and drive operational efficiencies across the organization.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify, prototype, and implement AI-powered BI solutions that improve reporting, streamline workflows, increase productivity, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Manage various DevOps initiatives using the Atlassian suite of products including Jira and Confluence
  • Monitor deliverables and coordinate resource requirements to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Provides weekly status reports recapping project progress, issues, risks, and costs, and obtains business owner acceptance for completed efforts and seek change approvals before deployment.
  • Promote best practices, guide the team toward continuous improvement, and act as a consultative resource for internal business and technical staff.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members.
  • Develop training materials and conducts training in support project efforts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including Senior level staff, external vendors, and external clinic staff both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in project Management industry standards/best practices.
  • Ability to create process documentation to include process flow charts and written documentation.
  • Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria to support applications development.
  • Hands-on experience with visual analytics tools like Tableau, Sigma and Power BI, and working knowledge of Visio, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, MSSQL and/or Python for ad-hoc analysis, and cloud and native data warehouse systems such as Snowflake, DataBricks, Azure SQL, Redshift, or similar.

Compensation and Benefits:

The position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime. Based on market data, this position grade is 69 (see full range below) and has a 10% annual incentive target based on company, department, and individual performance goals.

Experience

Required
  • 1 - 2 years: Prototype, and implement AI-powered BI solutions with self-service capabilities
  • 1 - 2 years: Adoption of AI-enabled analytics, intelligent automation, and emerging BI tools and technologies
  • 7 - 10 years: Business or systems analysis
  • 5 - 7 years: Managing project life cycles utilizing Project management tools such as Jira, Azure Devops, Monday or similar
  • 5 - 7 years: Reading and writing MSSQL and/or Python
  • 5 - 7 years: Hands-on experience with cloud and native data warehouse systems such as Snowflake, Azure SQL, Redshift or similar
