Sr. Project Accountant

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Financial accounting and reporting for a group of entities engaged in the development of the following Master-Planned Communities:


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Financial Reporting
Prepare the “Book-to-GAAP” financial reporting files on a quarterly basis for CFO approval.
Prepare Quarterly financial statements
Prepare accounting reports for periodic partnership meetings.
Maintain Loan and Equity schedules, including Cash Flow Waterfall for Distributions.

  • Audit Support (Interim & Year-end)
Coordinate with external auditors to provide requested supporting documentation.
Provide audit support to our third-party engineers for audit confirmations of Development Reimbursables.

  • Lot Sales/Commercial Sales
Review/Verify accuracy of lot closing instructions and HUD’s (transmit to appropriate
parties).
Maintain Lot Sales schedules.
Maintain Lot and Land Inventory schedules.
Review/Verify accuracy of tax pro-ration on commercial sales.

  • A/R Processing
Prepare check payments received (Lot True-up fees, Builder clean-up fees, etc.) for deposit.
Review for accuracy of payment and provide appropriate coding for booking.

  • AP Processing
Review/Verify accuracy of vendor invoices and pay estimates for AP processing.
Prepare Control Sheets for multiple-payment items.
Coordinate with project team members to ensure timely processing of AP invoices (month-end, quarterly and year-end).
Quarterly and year-end review of vendor AR reports for billing errors or missing invoices.

  • Loan Draw Process
Prepare monthly loan draws for CFO approval.
Prepare and transmit supporting documentation to appropriate parties to expedite draw funding.

  • MUD Reimbursements
Prepare, maintain and reconcile MUD reimbursement schedules and related supporting
documentation.
Reconcile with G/L monthly
Coordinate with MUD auditors to provide requested supporting documentation.

  • Property Taxes – Annual and Rollback
Prepare annual property taxes schedule to ensure timely payment as taxes become due.
Prepare rollback taxes as they become due throughout the year.

  • Other Responsibilities
Coordinate/Assist Project engineers with coding of new projects/initiatives (not specified in the approved financial model).
Resolve any/all accounting related issues as requested by CFO and/or Controller.
