The team is small, fast and seriously good. Everyone's in the office together in San Francisco, and the people who work there talk about each other more like mates than colleagues. The engineering team is scaling hard, which is why these roles are open.

The role

• You'd design, build and ship generative AI products that solve problems no one's solved before. The stack runs from polished interfaces at the front, through backend systems that process millions of documents, to LLM pipelines, data extraction and clustering in between.
• Own your work end to end. Real features, real parts of the product, yours to call. Not one small piece of a fifty person machine.
• Build things that are genuinely new. This team has a habit of getting to market before anyone else does.
• Move fast. Engineers merge their first pull request on day one and are running their own part of the product within three months.
• Use AI to build AI. You'd work with the latest models in production and use AI tools as part of how you build every day.
• Have a say that counts. Engineers here shape where the product goes, not just what gets built.

What you'll bring

• You're a strong engineer who cares more about impact than about any particular language or framework. You'll ship the pragmatic 80/20 answer over the perfect one.
• You've owned things end to end, ideally something close to zero to one. You know what it takes to build something from nothing and get it into the hands of real users.You've worked at startup pace, or you're someone who'd clearly come alive in it. You'd rather ship something good today than something perfect next month.
• You've used LLMs in production, not just had a play with them. You know the difference between a demo and a product.
• You've got strong engineering fundamentals. The bar here is high, and the work rewards people who think from first principles.
