Professional expertise. Personal purpose.
Help shape the North West Growth Area through the design of regional stormwater infrastructure that protects people, property and the environment.
As a Stormwater Engineer in the Section 7.11 Design Team, you design major regional detention and bioretention basins, wetlands, sediment ponds, gross pollutant traps, trunk drainage systems, pipes and culverts. You manage projects from investigation through to construction documentation, including briefing surveyors, engaging consultants, developing design options and completing hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modelling.
Develop designs that improve water quality, reduce peak stormwater flows and safely move stormwater through growing communities. You also assess development applications, review impacts on regional infrastructure and provide technical advice to planners and other stakeholders.
Your expertise helps deliver infrastructure that supports a liveable, safe and sustainable Blacktown City. The work you do today helps manage growth while protecting local creeks and waterways for future generations.
At Blacktown City Council, you are supported by the stability of long term public sector employment, opportunities to build your technical expertise and a team that values collaboration and shared success.
This role suits an engineer with at least 4 years experience designing detention basins, bioretention basins, wetlands and trunk drainage systems. You work well in a fast paced environment, manage competing deadlines and enjoy delivering practical solutions that make a positive impact.
At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
- a secure, permanent, full-time role with one of Australia's largest councils
