About the role

Strategic Account Manager – Data Center & Advanced Electronics

Fabric8Labs, headquartered in sunny San Diego, CA, is revolutionizing advanced manufacturing with next-generation 3D printing technology. We’re looking for a Strategic Account Manager to own and grow our most important customer relationships as we scale our patented Electrochemical Additive Manufacturing (ECAM) process for global production.

ECAM uses precise, room-temperature metal deposition to unlock geometries and applications that conventional metal AM can’t reach. Since announcing our agreement to be acquired by TDK Corporation, we’re rapidly expanding our team to advance this disruptive technology across a wide range of electronics components—including data center infrastructure, wireless communications, and power electronics.

As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll be a crucial part of the team, serving as the commercial owner and trusted advisor for a portfolio of strategic accounts—hyperscalers, OEMs, ODMs, and tier-one suppliers—in a fast-paced, highly technical commercial environment. You’ll be the voice of the customer inside Fabric8Labs and the voice of Fabric8Labs inside the customer.

If you’re excited to help shape the future of manufacturing alongside a growing team, come join us. We thrive on collaborative problem-solving and are eager to bring in diverse minds and perspectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end relationship for an assigned portfolio of strategic accounts, serving as the single point of accountability for revenue, retention, satisfaction, and long-term growth.
  • Build and maintain deep, multi-threaded relationships across the customer organization—from design and thermal engineers to supply chain, quality, and executive sponsors.
  • Develop and execute account plans that define share-of-wallet objectives, program roadmaps, competitive positioning, and the specific actions required to expand our footprint.
  • Maximize revenue potential within existing accounts by identifying new programs, platforms, and applications for ECAM technology, and driving them from opportunity through qualification to production award.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and executive-level engagements; prepare the data, narrative, and follow-up actions that make those meetings productive.
  • Maintain a current, detailed understanding of each customer’s technical roadmap, program timelines, cost targets, and decision-making process.
  • Serve as the structured feedback channel to internal teams—translating customer requirements into clear, prioritized input for engineering, product, technology, operations, and quality investment decisions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with applications engineering, program management, and operations to ensure on-time delivery, resolve escalations, and drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, forecasts, and supply agreements in coordination with leadership, finance, and legal.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and account records in CRM; provide clear, timely reporting to leadership on account health and risks.
  • Monitor the competitive and technology landscape within your accounts and share actionable intelligence with the broader organization.
  • Represent Fabric8Labs at customer sites, technical reviews, industry conferences, and trade shows.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or a related technical field; equivalent technical experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of account management, technical sales, business development, or customer-facing program management experience selling engineered products or components into OEM/ODM, data center, semiconductor, and/or electronics customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following domains: data center infrastructure, high performance computing, thermal management/liquid cooling, wireless communications, or electronic components.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue within existing accounts and managing complex, multi-stakeholder design-win cycles.
  • Comfort operating at the executive level while remaining detail-oriented—equally credible presenting a strategy to a VP and working line-by-line through a spec, drawing, or open issues list.
  • Exceptional responsiveness and written/verbal communication skills; able to distill technical complexity into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the discipline to manage many parallel commitments without dropping details.
  • Willingness to get hands dirty—walk the factory floor, dig into test data, build the deck, chase the sample, and do whatever the account needs.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving startup environment where processes are still being built.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to customer and supplier sites.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Direct experience selling to or supporting hyperscale data center customers, GPU/ASIC platform providers, or their contract manufacturers and cooling integrators.
  • Working knowledge of thermal management hardware—cold plates, heat sinks, vapor chambers, manifolds, or liquid cooling loops—and the associated qualification and reliability requirements.
  • Familiarity with additive manufacturing, precision metal fabrication, or advanced electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Experience introducing a new or disruptive technology into conservative, high-reliability supply chains.
  • Understanding of NPI processes, PPAP/APQP-style qualification flows, and production ramp planning.
  • Experience working within or alongside a large global parent company or joint venture structure.
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and comfort building analyses and executive-ready presentations from raw data.
