Role: Azure Identity Systems Engineer

Location: 2day/week Hybrid in Minneapolis, Minnesota

We are seeking an experienced Azure Identity Systems Engineer to join our team and support enterprise identity and access management initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern authentication platforms, customer identity solutions, and cloud identity transformation projects.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure AD B2C , Microsoft Entra External ID , and enterprise authentication technologies, with experience designing, implementing, and supporting secure identity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise customer identity solutions using Azure AD B2C .
• Support authentication and authorization services across enterprise applications and customer-facing platforms.
• Configure and maintain user journeys, custom policies, authentication flows, and identity providers.
• Plan and support migration initiatives from Azure AD B2C to Microsoft Entra External ID .
• Implement secure identity integrations using OAuth 2.0 , OpenID Connect (OIDC) , and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless identity integration.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, and identity federation issues.
• Support identity lifecycle management, access policies, and customer identity governance.
• Participate in system upgrades, platform modernization, and identity architecture improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Ensure identity platforms meet enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or Systems Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure AD B2C .
• Experience with Microsoft Entra External ID or Azure identity modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of:
• OAuth 2.0
• OpenID Connect (OIDC)
• SAML
• Identity Federation
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Experience integrating identity platforms with enterprise applications and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and identity security best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting authentication and authorization issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating Azure AD B2C environments to Microsoft Entra External ID.
• Experience with customer identity and access management (CIAM) solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Microsoft Graph API.
• Experience with PowerShell, ARM templates, or Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Microsoft Identity or Azure certifications are a plus.
