Technical Lead

What you will be doing

• Own technical delivery end to end: You will take responsibility for technical decisions, architecture, implementation quality, and delivery outcomes across client projects.
• Stay hands-on in the codebase: This is not a pure leadership role. You will actively build software, contribute directly to production code, and help shape solutions from the ground up.
• Work closely with clients: You will participate in client meetings, workshops, and technical discussions to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and propose pragmatic solutions.
• Lead with autonomy: You will act as a technical lead in different project settings, guiding engineers, unblocking challenges, and helping the team move quickly and effectively.
• Balance engineering, architecture, and delivery: Depending on the project and phase, your focus may lean more toward solution architecture, delivery leadership, technical consulting, or hands-on implementation, but always with direct ownership of the technical outcome.
• Raise the technical bar: You will contribute to code quality, maintainability, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Explore modern technologies: You will evaluate and apply new technologies where they create real value, including AI-related use cases when relevant.

We need you to have

Must-have

• Strong German language skills for direct client communication
• Experience in an agency, consultancy, or client-project environment
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead or in a comparable autonomous technical leadership role
• Strong hands-on fullstack development skills
• Ability to take technical ownership and work independently
• Confident communication with clients and cross-functional teams
• Fluency in English

Strong advantage

• Strong backend experience with scalable APIs and data modeling
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, Svelte, or Angular
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD
• Knowledge of authentication and security concepts such as OIDC
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into software products

Nice-to-have

• Mobile development experience
• Infrastructure as Code experience such as Terraform or CDK
• Experience in rapid prototyping or innovation-driven projects
