Our client, an industry leader in automotive services, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Writer to join their dynamic team. As a Technical Writer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Mechanical Service Information Development team, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and clarity of service procedures.

Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: 1100 North Crooks Road, Clawson, MI 48017

Pay Range: $28 per hour

What's the Job?

• Create and develop time studies for published mechanical service procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the Mechanical Service Information Development team and Validation/Labor Time Technicians to validate and optimize service procedures.
• Utilize automotive expertise and multiple source files to identify appropriate content for publications.
• Support special projects impacting the Labor Time Guide and ensure data security and integrity.
• Provide accurate reporting on project progress and participate in team meetings as required.
  
  

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of automotive technician experience, with a focus on engine, transmission, and vehicle systems.
• BS Degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent technical experience.
• Strong automotive knowledge, particularly in working on vehicles and understanding mechanical procedures.
• Ability to work in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility for later start times and hybrid work on Mondays and Fridays after training.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
