Test Integration Engineer for our Calibration Laboratory

We are located in Clearwater, Florida (Pinellas County, Tampa Bay area).

We are seeking a Test Integration Engineer for our calibration laboratory. The position requires bridging the gap between hardware measurement tools and software testing environments. You will be responsible for automating measurement processes, integrating specialized test equipment, and ensuring that calibration systems are accurate, repeatable, and compliant with industry standards.

CIH Equipment Company, Inc. (1993) is an ISO 17025:2017 accredited metrology firm specializing in the calibration of health & safety exposure test equipment in our various laboratories including; sound and vibration, airflow, pressure, air samplers, mass-concentration (dust), particle counters, velocity, flow hoods, humidity, temperature, photonics, gas meters, torque, force, gauss, and infrared.

Key duties typically fall into the following core areas:

Test System Automation & Software

· Develop Test Scripts: Write and maintain automated test scripts and software using programs such as MATLAB or Python to test devices.

· Integrate Systems: Connect different hardware platforms, measurement sensors, and control software to ensure seamless data flow and communication.

· Configure Test Setups: Build qualification cabling, Interface Test Adapters (ITAs), and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) testing environments.

Calibration & Testing Operations

· Establish Test Protocols: Translate product requirements into detailed test cases, Design Verification Test (DVT) plans, and acceptance procedures.

· Execute Testing: Run Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) through defined programs and test sequences.

· Troubleshoot Anomalies: Diagnose hardware, software, and system issues using tools like oscilloscopes and power meters. Determine root causes for test failures and develop corrective actions.

Compliance & Documentation

· Ensure Traceability: Verify that calibrated assets and test setups are directly traceable to national or international standards.

· Maintain Compliance: Ensure laboratory testing operations adhere to strict regulatory and quality frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 17025.

· Document Results: Generate test reports, calibration certificates, and evaluation packages for stakeholders.

· Your compensation has a starting rate, however, raises are given during the year based on the contribution you make to the laboratory and the company.

· Work with our Lab Manager for assistance with projects and progression on our Gantt chart.

· Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
