About the role
Job Overview
Dynamic VSolutions (DVS) is seeking an experienced Virtualization Engineer to support the U.S. Army Command and Control Support Agency (CCSA) at the Pentagon. This is a 100% onsite position supporting mission-critical enterprise infrastructure in a highly secure Department of Defense environment.
The selected candidate will provide engineering, administration, and operational support for enterprise VMware and Citrix environments while assisting with modernization, optimization, troubleshooting, and documentation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain VMware and Citrix enterprise environments.
- Perform infrastructure assessments and site surveys.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environments.
- Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability.
- Perform software, firmware, security patching, and system updates.
- Respond to critical incidents and provide advanced technical troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain configuration documentation, SOPs, diagrams, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with government personnel to support infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Provide performance reporting, capacity planning, and usage analysis.
- Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, FIPS 140-2, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Support virtualization implementation projects and technology upgrades.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and technical training for government personnel.
- Assist with hardware replacement, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
- Participate in on-call and mission-critical support as required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (SCI eligibility preferred).
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise virtualization environments.
- Experience administering VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Horizon.
- Experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience supporting Federal Government or Department of Defense environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) or Professional (CCP)
- Security+
- Microsoft certifications
- Experience with PowerShell automation
- Experience supporting classified networks
- Knowledge of DISA STIG compliance and cybersecurity best practices
Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
