About the role
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Lawyer (m/f/d) with a strong focus on transactions and M&A to join our Legal Department at our headquarters in Munich. Reporting to the Director Legal Germany, you will take ownership of domestic and cross-border transactions while supporting the ongoing corporate governance and legal management of our group entities.This is a hands-on role for a commercially minded legal professional who enjoys working closely with the business. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across multiple functions, helping to deliver practical legal solutions in a dynamic international environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Independently manage and oversee domestic and cross-border transactions and acquisitions
- Lead the in-house legal management of M&A transactions, including deal execution and post-merger integration
- Manage ongoing corporate housekeeping, including group and shareholding structures and entity maintenance, with a particular focus on Krause Automation
- Act as a trusted legal advisor on corporate, commercial and related legal matters
- Serve as a key contact for internal stakeholders across various departments, providing practical and business-oriented legal advice
- Represent the company in commercial discussions and negotiations
- Take on organisational and management responsibilities in addition to legal work
- Work collaboratively within a flat-hierarchy legal team, supporting colleagues across a broad range of matters and adapting to changing priorities
Essential Skills
- Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist, m/f/d) with above-average First and Second State Examinations; a doctorate (Dr.) and/or an LL.M. are an advantage
- Relevant transactional experience with a strong focus on M&A
- Approximately 5-6 years of relevant professional experience gained at a leading international law firm; initial in-house experience is a plus
- Specialist knowledge of both domestic and cross-border transactions
- International background
- Ability to independently manage legal matters and transactions
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work effectively in a multinational and multicultural organisation
- Ability to provide pragmatic, practice-oriented legal recommendations and solutions
- Comfortable acting as a trusted advisor for corporate, commercial and related legal matters
- Flexible and adaptable, with the willingness to step outside your comfort zone and thrive in a fast-changing and increasingly complex environment
- Fluent German and English at negotiation level, with the ability to draft legal documentation in both languages
