About the role
Mule Wiring – Activities
- Manage the execution of prototype mule wiring activities, from understanding electrical system architectures to building prototype harnesses.
- Design and release prototype wiring harnesses.
- Identify and support the procurement of long lead components.
- Build detailed harness BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Identify readily available in-lines and eyelets.
- Assist in generating complete iSpeed population data for Mule Builds.
- Collaborate with Prototype Build Engineering to procure long lead components and coordinate sample requests with component suppliers.
- Assess harness design and packaging feasibility.
- Provide technical interface and support to the advanced engineering team.
- Collaborate with designers to develop harness packaging solutions and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate with designers and support teams to ensure completion of all required Teamcenter tasks.
- Attend design reviews and coordination meetings.
- Determine wiring impacts related to bulletins and product plan changes, and provide electrical build support.
- Perform onsite troubleshooting activities at the Chrysler Technical Center build shops.
- Provide detailed Make-On-Vehicle (MOV) instructions during vehicle builds in a timely manner.
Deliverables
- Generate and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Generate and maintain in-lines and eyelets according to project requirements.
- Complete iSpeed population activities for Mule Builds.
- Conduct packaging reviews.
- Support weekly Lessons Learned reviews.
- Support Specifications/Requirements Reviews, Change Requests, and Lessons Learned activities.
- Prepare and present weekly progress reports during EEVI program and design reviews based on project-specific milestones and deliverables.
- Engineering degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in automotive harness design software.
- Strong analytical skills, rigor, and autonomy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Fluent in English.
