About the Role
We’re hiring a Stores Operative to join our team based in London, UK.
The Stores Operative is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the London site stores, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely goods receipt, and efficient material flow to support production. The role maintains stock accuracy, executes kitting activities, and ensures all transactions are correctly recorded in SAP and JIRA.
Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy
Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
Ensure all inventory movements are recorded in SAP in real time.
Identify discrepancies, propose practical solutions, and escalate where required
Maintain organised, clearly labelled storage areas.
Goods Receiving & Material Handling
Receive inbound deliveries, verify documentation, and inspect goods for damage or non-conformance.
Book goods into SAP and route materials to the correct storage location.
Manage returns, quarantined stock, and non-conforming materials in line with internal processes.
Kitting & Production Support
Prepare production kits according to BOM requirements and schedules.
Ensure kits are complete, accurate, and delivered to production on time.
Support urgent pick requests and material shortages.
Site Operations & Housekeeping
Keep the stores area clean, safe, and compliant with H&S requirements.
Support stock layout improvements and 5S activities.
Assist with periodic stocktakes across the London site.
We are looking for:
Experience & Qualifications
Experience in a stores, warehouse, or materials handling role.
Working knowledge of SAP (Inventory Management / Warehouse Management).
Experience with goods receiving, stock control, and kitting.
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
Basic IT skills (Excel, JIRA or similar ticketing systems).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Level 2 or Level 3 Warehouse & Storage qualification (or equivalent).
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or production environments.
Understanding of BOMs and material flow.
Behavioural Skills
Reliability and ownership of daily tasks.
Strong organisational skills and methodical working style.
Clear communication with production, procurement, and engineering.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
