Frequently asked questions

Where does the data come from?+

From job postings indexed automatically and directly from company career pages (ATS like Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby…). We only keep active postings that advertise a public salary — no self-reported pay, no estimates.

Why medians instead of means?+

Advertised salaries have a long upper tail (a few postings above €300,000). The median describes the typical posting without being dragged by those extremes; the p25–p75 quartiles give the spread.

Why does the median look high?+

Companies that advertise pay on remote roles skew heavily toward North American tech (pay transparency is mandatory in several US states). The report describes that segment — remote postings with public pay — not the whole job market.

How are currencies converted?+

All amounts are annualized then converted to euros at fixed rates (USD 0.92, GBP 1.17, CAD 0.68), the same rates the site's salary filter uses. The rates are published in the methodology.

Will the report be updated?+

Yes: it's a dated snapshot, regenerated straight from the job database. The snapshot date is in the methodology.
